BIO
I was born and raised on a farm in Montgomery County, Indiana, and worked the farm with my dad until his death in 2009. I married my high school friend Lucy in December of 1980, and we had Rachel in 1983 and Isaac in 1985.
Striving to live the simple life, we raised and schooled the kids on the farm, where I have always worked with family by my side and a guitar on the wall. Lucy and I remain on the family farm, and reside a half mile from where my father and my grandson were born.
In a conversation with Wendell Berry on his farm in Port Royal, Kentucky in 2006, I asked him whether I should “hermitize or evangelize”. Wendell replied, “Adam, you must do what you do best.” Therefore, I have continued to live small, dream big, and do good work in wisely guiding others in their passions of producing food for their families & communities.
Some of my most cherished accomplishments include 40 years in a faithful and loving marriage, working with my family, becoming an established guitarist, and living a life of integrity and freedom.
